Consultations with a specialist and conducting a series of screening studies will be provided by the Diabetes, pre-diabetes and metabolic syndrome National Association during the International Exhibition BULMEDICA/BULDENTAL 2019 from 15 to 17 May at Inter Expo Center.
During the three days of the exhibition individual consultations with an endocrinologist will be held at the Stand of the association in Hall 1 for people with overweight and obesity, with an option for determination of diets (16 May) and advising on individual sports program and for suitable dietary supplements (16-17 May). Visitors will be able to join the health and intuitive drawing workshop – applied and fine arts on the first day of the exhibition – May 15.
The focus of the activities at the association stand in 2019 will be obesity and diabetes -physical activity, nutritional regimes and drug treatment (effective medication therapy for obesity is available already in Bulgaria for several months and will be presented by the endocrinologist).
Besides meetings with specialists, the association will also provide a number of researches, including measuring blood sugar, taking blood pressure, percentage of general and abdominal fat, body mass index, biological age. Determination of the degree of risk of atrial fibrillation (a type of arrhythmia) will be carried out with Hira scale, a screening type 2 diabetes risk test.
The visitors are not going to miss some surprises, too as they will be able to join interactive challenges related to physical activity, which will bring gifts to the “successful ones”.
