The numerous specialists, visitors to the event, filled Rhodope Hall of Inter Expo Center
The last day of the international exhibition BULMEDICA / BULDENTAL / DERMA & AESTHETICS 2019 is more than inspiring. Due to the event “The Doctor Who Inspires Me” taking place in the framework of the accompanying program of the forum. Organized by CREDOWEB, this cause includes nominations and professional evaluation of doctors, provides scholarships and funds to their young colleagues ,as well as charity initiatives.
The numerous specialists, visitors to the event, made Rhodope Hall at Inter Expo Center a crowded place . The live event is the culmination of the online campaign in which doctors nominate their well-deserved colleagues and vote for them using CREDOWEB’s largest health platform. The “Doctor Who Inspires Me” is tied to the charity cause “Doctors Support Doctors”. Inspirational speeches related to the idea of strengthening the dignity and solidarity of the medical profession will be pronounced by Prof. Ivo Petrov, Dr. Emanuil Naydenov, Assoc. Prof. Nikolay Yanev, Prof. Philip Kumanov, Dr. Antoaneta Tomova, Dr. Petya Chaveeva, Assoc. Prof. Atanas Katsarov.
“Our mission is to create a professional environment for the society of experts,” Dr. Miroslav Nenkov said at the opening. To illustrate the importance of inspiration, he presented a waffle coffee cup, which after eating the fragrant drink can be eaten. “In fact, this wonderful product was created by two Bulgarian boys,” he said.
In a brief and emotional speech, the President of the Bulgarian Medical Association, Dr. Ivan Madzharov, told his professional history, stressing the role of the mentors that inspire. “The good doctor must be able to transfer his knowledge,” he said. There was also a speech on the occasion of the event “The Doctor Who Inspires Me”, sent by the Minister of Health Kiril Ananiev.
The awards
The inspirational event provided awards for altogether six professionals. The first place in the Neurology sector went for Prof. Maria Manova. The Prize in Urology was awarded to Assoc. Prof. Nikolay Kolev, who introduced the robotic system “Da Vinci”. For his work in the Oncology sector, the voting audience assigned the first place to Dr. Krasimir Koinov. He stressed that in recent years there have been registered significant outcomes concerning cancer.
“Let me thank CREDOWEB for organizing events like this,” said during the ceremony Professor Ivo Petrov, who received an award in the cardiology sector. In “Gastroenterology” the award went to Dr. Petko Karagiozov. The voting public decided that the first place should go to Dr. Svetlozar Stoykov for his contribution in Obstetrics and Gynecology,
In the coming months, there will be awarded professionals in the sectors of pediatrics, rheumatology, endocrinology, and surgery.
BULMEDICA / BULDENTAL / DERMA & AESTHETICS 2019 will continue throughout 17th of May. The doors will be open for visitors until 18.00.
